John Mulkey is a spiritual explorer and long-time student of metaphysics and philosophy. Although his path at one time was more focused on the corporeal-he was once top executive in a major construction firm-his willingness to listen to his inner guides awakened him to an understanding or his true nature, his Oneness. Guided to abandon a lucrative career, he struggled between two worlds until a Filipino shaman showed him the way to inner peace. With the guidance of his Filipino teacher, Mulkey began a period of intense study with shamans from around the world, including Native American, Chinese, Filipino, Siberian, Inuit, and South American. He was recently initiated into Altai shamanism by an 11th generation Siberian shaman, the first in the United States to receive such an honor. Mulkey has also spent time in the Amazon rainforest where he received a miraculous healing. His experiences with the Amazon shamans inspired him to redirect his life towards the sharing of the wisdom of the rainforest and its remarkable people. His first book, Metamorphosis tells of many of his experiences. Mulkey lives in the mountains of north Georgia and regularly conducts workshops where he teaches the secrets of the shamans.
